It maintains proper clearance and enables high-precision cutting. The ESH series is a front-runner in shearing, and is always ahead of the times, with
features such as the ability to use two hydraulic circuits depending on the plate thickness and the ability to freely select the cutting length.

Realisation of high-precision cutting

Adoption of N new frame structure/inclined ram & inclined table + cylinder arrangement.

  • Cutting pressure is applied to the ram and table, changing the clearance. The "new frame structure" was devised to suppress such movements as much as possible.
  • By tilting the ram and lower table, force is concentrated in the cutting direction. Furthermore, by arranging the cylinder in a position that balances the pressure that moves sideways, an appropriate clearance is maintained, enabling more precise cutting (perpendicularity and cut surfaces).

Realisation of high productivity

Each function creates high productivity:

1.) Hydraulic circuit automatic switching function

  • Automatic switching between the "direct-acting circuit" for cutting thick plates and the "acceleration circuit" for cutting thin plates (thickness 6 mm or less) that produces a high stroke is possible. With this method, the number of ram strokes has been improved by approximately 40% from 19min -1 to 25min -1 (when using a speed increasing circuit) (compared to our conventional machine).

2.) Ram upper limit & lower limit, step-less setting function

  • Since the upper and lower limits (stroke length) of the ram can be freely selected, efficient processing can be performed according to the material, plate thickness, cutting width, etc. The entire blade can be used evenly, resulting in uniform wear. It also leads to longer blade life.

3.) Touch panel type central operation panel

  • Appropriate rake angles and clearances that match the material and plate thickness are entered in advance. This eliminates the need for skilled workers. It is quick and easy to operate and allows for precise cutting. The adoption of a touch panel has realised an easy-to-see and easy-to-use operating environment.

4.) High-speed, high-performance backgauge

  • Positioning speed 4.3m/min. By adopting this inverter-controlled high-speed backgauge, we have achieved a speedup of about 5 times (compared to our conventional machine). Allows you to work faster. In addition, the back gauge automatic reversing function makes it easy to cut large plates. No need to worry about damaging the backgauge.

5.) Air support (ESH-3013 option setting)

  • It is a device that prevents the board from sagging due to its own weight and supports it so that it hits the back gauge correctly. In addition, the back gauge automatic reversing function provided as standard makes it easy to cut large plates.

Significant reduction in machining noise

Comprehensive review with motor/hydraulic system and new frame structure.

  • By comprehensively reviewing the sources of noise, such as the motor, hydraulic pump (mounted), and hydraulic pulp, noise during no-load operation has been reduced by approximately 10dB (compared to our conventional model). In addition, the tilting ram and tilting table with high cutting capacity, and the ram's upper and lower limits and step-less setting function that enables smooth cutting according to the material also contribute to the quietness.
